guido Guido Chiarotti is a physicist and an entrepreneur. As physicist he has studied the behaviour of matter, particularly at planetary conditions. As an entrepreneur he has founded and directed an ICT company for over ten years. As a result of these experiences he has become interested in strategic thinking and the relation between qualitative and quantitative knowledge. He is now a publisher and consultant. He is associated to Institute of Complex Systems (CNR) where he is involved in researches on economic complexity.
fotosito Matthieu Cristelli is a post-doc researcher at Institute for Complex Systems (ISC-CNR) in Rome from January 2012. He graduated in Physics in 2008 and got his doctorate in Physics at Sapienza University of Rome in 2011. He mainly works on interdisciplinary application of statistical physics and complex systems to economic and financial systems. He has published more than 25 papers in international journals and he is involved in the research activities of several EU and Italian projects (FOC, Growthcom, Crisis Lab). He has also won a prize for his Master’s Degree and his PhD thesis has been awarded and published by Springer.  Matthieu also acted as independent consultant for several companies.
foto-mia Andrea Gabrielli  PhD,is a theoretical physicist. In recent years he collaborated to the development of the theory of Economic Complexity and studied the problem of reconstruction of complex networks from partial information which is of capital importance mainly in finance. He has a solid expertise in statistical physics of complex systems, stochastic processes and complex network theory. He is currently a researcher at CNR and  Visiting Professor at Institute for Advanced Studies (Lucca, Italy),  and at the Physics Department of the Boston University (MA, USA). He is the author of around 100 scientific publications on peer reviewing international journals and of one scientific book of statistical physics published by Springer (2004).
daniela-palma Daniela Palma graduated in Statistics and Economics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and worked as a visiting research fellow at NCGIA (National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis), University of California at Santa Barbara where she prepared her Ph.D. thesis in Spatial Economic Analysis (University of Rome “La Sapienza”). She is a senior researcher at ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) in the Economics of Innovation. She coordinates the activities of a National Observatory of Italy’s Technological Competitiveness.

8emezzo Francesco Sylos Labini is a physicist, obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Bologna. He worked for eight years in Switzerland and France and is currently a researcher at the Enrico Fermi Center in Rome and works at the Institute of Complex Systems at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. He is specialized in cosmology, astrophysics and complex systems and has published almost one hundred scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is also the co-author of  “I ricercatori non crescono sugli alberi” (Laterza, 2010) and he has a blog on the website of the Italian daily Il Fatto Quotidiano.
